TOOTH REPLACEMENT

Removable Dentures

Custom-fitted removable dentures that restore your smile and your ability to eat and speak with confidence.

Missing teeth impact not only appearance but oral health as well. If you have lost some or all of your teeth because of trauma, periodontal infection, or decay, dentures are one of the options that can offer you a healthier, more attractive smile.

Full or partial dentures make eating and chewing easier, facilitate clearer speech, provide support for cheeks and lips for a more youthful appearance, prevent remaining teeth from shifting, restore self-confidence, and create a natural-looking smile.

Full Dentures

Full dentures replace all of the teeth on the upper and/or lower jaw. Detailed impressions and measurements will be taken to create an ideal fit.

  • Conventional Dentures: Created after the gums and jawbone have healed post-extraction, which usually requires several months.
  • Immediate Dentures: Fabricated in advance and placed right away, without waiting for healing. Often used as a temporary denture while the gums reshape.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures: Dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone where they fuse with the bone. Removable or fixed dentures are then fabricated to attach to the implants. Very secure, and helps prevent bone loss.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures replace multiple missing teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Unlike bridges, they are removable and are held in place with different types of attachments:

  • Clasp Attachments: A metal clasp fits snugly around a supporting tooth. Sometimes visible when speaking or smiling.
  • Precision Attachments: Small interlocking metal parts on both the partial denture and adjacent teeth for an unobtrusive, secure fit.
  • Flexible Partial Dentures: Made of thermoplastic material with gum-colored extensions that fit discreetly around the base of the teeth.
  • Implant-Supported Partial Dentures: Use stud or clip attachments to hold the denture securely to dental implants.

Dentures require daily care. Any discomfort or damage should be reported to your dentist at once, and regular dental checkups will ensure your denture is fitting properly.
